Is enlightenment a destination or a journey?

Enlightenment is a series of unfoldments and realizations...

In the modern world we are very tightly attached to the outer world, so it is unrealistic to think that with one experience or realization of enlightenment you will be vaulted to the absolute highest possible consciousness. More realistically (and depending on your starting point) you will experience realizations over time, each realization bringing you to a new and higher level of awareness which then becomes the starting point for the next cycle of enlightenment.

So yes - each cycle of unfoldment in itself is an accomplishment, a new arrival, but enlightenment is an endless cycle of arrivals, an enjoyable journey of unfoldment on top of unfoldment, a continuing journey of higher awareness and realization. Each advancement in your understanding brings you higher levels of health, happiness, abundance and purpose.

The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some superhuman accomplishment, but enlightenment is simply your unfolding state of  oneness with Being.
~ Eckhart Tolle

You already are enlightened, you only need to uncover what is already inside you.
